How To: Get eBay Coupons
You have to be very lucky to be one of the chosen few who receive an eBay coupon by email. These coupons are just like cash that you can use towards anything you buy on eBay – the only conditions being that you pay using PayPal, and that you are using eBay in the USA, Canada or the UK.
There are two ways to get eBay coupons.
Wait for that Email.
Of course, if you just wait, you’ll be waiting for a long time. You have to do something to make yourself look like the kind of person eBay would want to tempt back with a coupon. If you open an account, buy a few medium-value things and then suddenly stop, the chances are you’ll find yourself with some kind of special offer – but still, not always.
Go Searching:
The better way, of course, is to go and find the coupons that are out there on the web. This is quite hit-and-miss, as eBay don’t always have an offer on, but when there’s a valid code you can guarantee that it’ll be everywhere within a few hours. Just type ‘ebay coupon codes’ into your favourite search engine, but be prepared to pick through some rubbish. You might find you have better luck if you use a more obscure search engine, where people haven’t taken the trouble to game the results.
If going through search engines is too much for you, then just keep an eye out at any community forums you frequent, where someone might just post one. You probably have the best chances if you make a few friends on eBay’s own forums at http://hub.ebay.com/community. It can be fun and educational to chat to the regulars there too, so you really have nothing to lose.
How do You Redeem Coupons?
A coupon is basically a code, with some being quite long. All you need to do is pay with PayPal as usual for the item you want to use the coupon towards. After you choose PayPal as your payment method, you will notice a heading that says ‘Coupons, Gift Certificates and eBay Anything Points’. Type the coupon code in here: they can be long, so you should use copy-and-paste to make sure you get it right. Just click ‘Redeem’, and it’s good to go.
Don’t worry about causing problems for sellers by doing this, by the way – they have no way of even telling that you used a coupon, as eBay just pay them for the item as usual. Coupons are good for sellers as they attract more buyers to eBay, meaning that they get more bids on their auctions. After all, why would they object to getting more money without you actually having to pay it?
Since you’re interested in making your eBay shopping more affordable, you might be interested to know that you can now buy eBay items on credit. Our next email will tell you all the details of eBay’s new ‘Buyer’s Credit’ program.

The objective of the aforementioned method is to enable students to develop the ability to foresee, evaluate, and plan on the acts of going through and solving certain issues of the entire business. Among these issues are globalization, competition, productivity and innovation. The Cross-Enterprise Leadership gets away with the traditional method of management education that puts emphasis on the functional discipline such as the finance, accounting, marketing and strategy. It promotes simulations and field projects to allow students to think and act strategically on business decisions. It promotes a decision based on the entirety of the business issue and not as individual bits and pieces.
Also, in 2006, the MBA program will be offering its students a one-year program available in the months of May and October. The MBA program of Ivey was considered by Business Week in August 1, 2005 as among the 4 best MBA programs in “creativity and innovation” with a “nontraditional approach urging students to learn business from all angles”. Such recognition encourages the university to continue and improve their MBA programs and make them more competitive and practical for the real world. The new MBA program is suitable for a cluster of students with great performance with a management experience. It is also ideal for students that can cope up with the demanding one-year program. International exposure and a career management-training module are included in the MBA curriculum. The regular in-class learning take up to 4 hours, it can be at 8 am to 12 noon or 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The period for learning team sessions out of the class are scheduled.

Video Game Console Reviews: Sony Playstation 3 Review
It’s black, it’s shiny, it’s a dust magnet and it is a console gaming system that offers so much more than merely the ability to play the state-of-the-art games.
Sony’s catchphrase for the PlayStation 3 is PLAY B3YOND (aka Beyond) – and what the PS3 offers is a device that is capable of playing the latest PS 1080p games, surfing the Web, play blu-ray videos and so much more.
But first things first:
The local phone company tech showed up at the door to install DSL. Cool. Problem was the wireless modem was connected to the wall outlet upstairs and the PS3 was in the master bedroom (hooked up to the HDTV) downstairs. Look in the manual … Select Network Settings … Select Internet Connection Settings … Select “Wireless” and then press the X button. A firmware download later, the machine was surfing the Web, using a Logitech USB keyboard.
There were a couple of retail games included in the box – Genji: Days of the Blade and Resistance: Fall of Man. Genji was tried – nope, need to upgrade the firmware to the next iteration (from 1.00 to 1.02). Again, not a problem. Resistance comes packaged with the firmware upgrade and other games down the line will do the same thing (think PC and getting the latest iteration of DirectX with the game).Sony ushers in its version of the next-gen console system with the launch of the PS3 on November 17. Pre-sales indicate the machine will sell out. The first 500,000 units shipped carried the blu-ray release of Talladega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby. Sony wants those who buy the console to see what blu-ray can do. Words don’t do a blu-ray justice. It could be mentioned that blu-ray disks hold much more information than DVDs (DVDs can hold nine gigs of information while blu-ray disks can hold 50 gigs), and in the case of movies come the closest yet to a visual experience that is amazing. Imagine all that on a disk.
What’s in the box:
The PS3 comes in two models, the lower-priced ($499) 20-gigabyte playstation 3 hard drive and the ($599) 60-gig playstation 3 hard drive. There are differences, aside from the hard-drive size between the two.
The 60-gig machine uses a Cell Broadband Engine and the main memory is 256-meg XDR RAM with 256-megs of GDDR3 VRAM. The hard drive is a 2.5” Serial ATA and the main input/output devices include a memory stick, SD and CompactFlash disks as well as four USB 2.0 ports. The 20-gig machine only has the USB ports, not the other input/output device ports. The hard drive size and the input/output configurations are the differences between the two machines.
The machine will support screen sizes of 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p with the ability to connect either through HDMI cables (not included) or the composite analog cables (5 connections – three for video and two audio channels). Both machines have the digital audio capabilities and the Blu-ray/DVD/CD (read-only) disc drives.
Blu-ray and Cell Broadband Engine:
The Cell Broadband Engine was developed by IBM, Sony and Toshiba and is purported to deliver up to 10 times the processing speed of a typical home computer. The hype on the engine states that developers should be able to start approximating actual intelligence in games, rather than artificial intelligence, meaning the enemies should get a lot smarter. The engine is capable of performing 200 billion calculations per second and has a clock speed of 3.2 GHz.
The blu-ray disc offers next-gen media capabilities that can render high-definition graphical power to a receiver that is also HD. It can support 1080p, which is 1,080 lines of progressive scan – the highest resolution available. Blu-ray discs can carry more than five times the amount of data of a DVD. DVDs can hold up to 9 gigs of information but the blu-ray disc can hold 50 gigs – which translates, in gaming terms, into titles that will be much bigger in terms of detail or game scope. Blu-ray also supports 7.1 surround sound.
Sixaxis controller:
No more forced feedback from the controller – that has been replaced by gyroscopes in the peripheral that will enable players (if supported by the game) to use controller movement to affect the game. Let’s face it – we have all tried to take corners in a racing game by tilting the controller in the direction we wanted to turn. With the sixaxis controller, that will be possible. Menus will be able to be accessed by tilting the controller, or flight controls will rely on the angle that the controller is at. In every other way, this is the PS control device. However, only one sixaxis controller comes in the box.
PlayStation Network:
Signing up is fast and free. You can connect to the Internet via the CAT5 port or the wireless network card. Each account is broken into two parts – the Master account and the secondary account. On the network you can download demos, keep track of a friends, send messages, and chart game progress. There is an option to input billing information (credit card) so that you can buy games and such through the network and load them onto the hard drive of the machine.
Using the machine:
The PS3 has a crossbar menu on the boot screen. This is exactly the same as the PSP. You can store video, audio, downloads, browse the Internet, message friends, access the PlayStation store (where there are free downloads and downloads you would pay for as well), or launch a movie or game.
The disc simply slides into the front of the machine, a la a CD player in your car, and the buttons to eject it, or turn off the machine take only a whisper of a touch. Using the controller, which has a lithium battery in it and once charged can go wireless, the PS3 owner can quit the game by pressing the PS logo, holding it down and waiting for the prompts. The power supply is built into the casing, and while I puts out some heat, it does not feel as hot as the 360 external power supply.
Navigating the crossbar menus is a breeze and hooking up the PlayStation Network is also easy.
Anticipations and expectations ran high for the next-generation console systems and Sony has delivered. This machine is amazing.Pros:
Blu-ray, Cell Broadband, storage, Web access, sixaxis controller and high-def graphical output all add up to a machine that is delicious to look at and delightful to play on, or just to watch movies on. The machine is easy to use, but the cover is a dust magnet and will need to be tended to (wait, isn’t that a ‘con?’ Nope, the sleek machine design is a definite ‘pro.’)
Cons:
There is a marked difference in storage and input/output between the 20-gig and 60-gig machine. Everything else is the same, but with only a price point difference of $100, it seems silly to not buy the bigger machine. Clever marketing is not entirely too friendly in asking consumers to cough up that extra $100 for more machine. Sony did tout this as backward compatible with all PSOne and PS2 titles, but – while not confirmed – there does seem to be some titles that will not run on the machine.
Verdict: 9.5
The games, both as launch titles and those coming in the next few months, will be amazing and will take console gaming into the next generation. The controls are easily accessed and used – both on the PS sixaxis controller and the crossbar navigational system. This machine has so much that using it merely as a gaming device seems rather silly. No, it won’t be a primary Web surfing tool (and it is recommended you get a USB keyboard for that anyway) but the PlayStation Network is a definite bonus. Blu-ray provides wondrous graphical output and the machine does play CDs as well as old PS titles (maybe not all, but still the majority). With online downloads, or games with the latest firmware support, this is a machine built to play, to use with entertainment media and to go online with.
Go ahead, spend the extra $100 for the bigger machine, you may be glad you did so – especially if you plan to store photos and such on the machine. About the only thing that would have made this better would be a R/W disc.
Sony has said that this is the foundation for the next 10 years. Maybe it is, maybe technology will outgrow it sooner, but one thing is certain – this machine fits today’s entertainment needs wonderfully.
How To: Clean Your iPhone
How To: Clean Your iPhone
When you have a Apple product, such as the iPhone, it is imperative that you care for this electronic device so that it will last you many years. However, one of the easiest ways to care for your Apple iPod or iPhone is not to go out and purchase various products to keep it safe throughout its life, while that is important, the best way to show your new cell phone some T.L.C. is through simply cleaning it. However, this poses a major problem for many people. The reason for this is because since the iPhone is such a unique device, and its screen is so sensitive to touch, many people don’t know how they can properly clean their iPhone without damaging it.
Of course, when you are cleaning your iPhone, you don’t want to simply wash it with any type of cleaners, because these cleaners could actually cause the iPhone to malfunction, thus giving you a defective product. When you are cleaning your iPhone, you must ensure that you take extra care, and don’t do it if you are in a rush. The reason behind this is because if you are lazy, or in a hurry, you may damage the inner workings of the iPhone, as well as the ever important screen. When you are cleaning your iPhone, there are several items that you must have. These items will allow you to effectively clean your phone without damaging the sensitive touch screen or the inner workings of your fantastic cell phone.
Before you clean your iPhone, you need to make sure that you have the following items: water, microfiber cloth and your favorite CD to relax you and make the process enjoyable. Make sure that you NEVER use any type of chemical agents to clean your iPhone, because these can actually hinder the way the screen interacts with you. Once you have gathered all of the items sit down and place the water in a small cup. With the microfiber cloth, which is available through the many various iPhone retailers, dip the corner of the cloth into the water, allowing it to become saturated with the water.
Make sure that you do not use too much water though, a good way to test to see if you have enough water is to grab a piece of glass, or go to a mirror, and with the wet cloth wipe off a corner. If there is streaming water drops coming from where you wiped the mirror, than you have too much water on the cloth and you need to dry it out some.
You want to be able to wipe your iPhone screen without having drops of water left behind. Next, take the slightly wetted cloth and begin to wipe the screen of your iPhone in a up-and-down motion. Do not wipe in circles, because this can leave behind smudges that are unsightly when you turn on your iPhone. It will usually take one or two wipes to clean the entire surface of your iPhone. How often you clean your iPhone depends on how much you use it. Since the screen of your phone is the interface to the entire product, than you will be using it constantly, thus the oils from your fingers will begin to build up and create a dingy look to the screen. Average users clean their iPhone once a week, maybe once every two weeks.

How To: Buy Brand Name Gadgets for Bargains Online
How To: Buy Brand Name Gadgets for Bargains
Don’t you love gadgets, especially the new finagled ones. If you are like me and you strive to take ownership of the latest and greatest, then this article is for you – because I will save you a bunch of money which can then be safely applied to … even more gadgets. From satellite receivers to universal remotes, there is a constant barrage of new releases. Now any self respecting gadget addict will understand that yesterdays gizmo’s is destined for the trash heap as soon as release 3.0 hits the streets.
Of course for the savvy shopper release 2.0 offers unique buying opportunities. Purchasing the one generation before often yields even more fun and stimulation. Since bugs have been removed, geeky hacks have been introduced and generally you can have more fun and be rather more ruthless with the little device.
Now a market exists for both state of the generation and one, two and even three back versions. Its eBay of course that I am referring too. With a large volume of most electronics being traded everyday, this is the ideal near efficient market. One can study the dynamics of this micro-market and determine some useful buying rules. With a little more information than the rest of the marketplace, one can almost certainly make some intelligent buying opportunities. This article focuses on how to identify these gaps and often purchase many electronic gadgets for 20-100% below retail.
This article should be read together with my longer piece and a web site, which produces the information required to identify buying nuggets. There exists a little web site that polls data from eBay throughout the day. Now what makes this different you may ask? Well firstly it only focuses on well know in demand electronic gadgets. You will find categories for things like Wide screen Notebooks, Digital Cameras, Simple Surround Sound, XBOX 360, Apple iPod Tunes Video, HDTV, ESPN Phone, etc. etc.
There is one more aspect that makes this site useful. That is it holds information that is often more difficult for the buyer to obtain. With this information in hand buyers can often make more informed and better decisions and therefore avoid bidding wars and outsmart other bidders to a high degree.
Most information on eBay focuses on the selling element, i.e. how to sell your clubs. I have tended to specialize on the buying end and trying to identify market opportunities and price in-efficiencies to really capture excellent deals. To do this we need to understand the dynamics of the eBay market place. Like any other market it is supply demand driven, and like a large flee-market if a buyer has knowledge of how many items are for sale at what prices and how many other buyers are in the market, then that buyer can capture the upper hand. Lets focus a little more on supply.
The eBay supply dynamic is a little different in that supply of an item must be seen at a point in time. In other words, because auctions end at different times, one needs to grasp the number of auctions ending in close proximity for the same item. This gives you a feel for the supply of items or in our case cameras. What makes this interesting is that today there could be a large amount of auctions ending for a particular model, but next week there could be very few. This is one element driving the price.
The demand side is slightly more complex and hidden from the average eBay buyer. This is where that the web site I refer to at below has some useful data. Demand in eBay terms is measured (by sellers) as a number of factors – how many people view my auction, how many people ask questions, how many people place me on their watch page, and how many people actually bid. Obviously as we progress down this list the data become more reliable as an indication of demand. Page views are not easy to obtain, although some sellers place a publicly viewable counter on their auction pages. Questions and watchers are available to sellers, and the special web site mentioned below will expose this information. Number of bids is available for all to see.
Now if we happened to produce a graph as the auction progresses of the changes in the number of questions, watchers and bids one can easily see how the demand is changing as time progresses. Typically if questions are high and watchers are high, but bids are low, this may indicate some confusion (for example a spelling mistake in a model number) and a possible buy opportunity. If watchers are very high and climbing, but bids are low, this can point to a last minute bidding war, and a stay out indicator.
Armed with this information and also a quick summary of other similar auctions ending soon, plus a quick feel for the skill set of the seller and the current highest bidder, one can see a picture very different from the average eBay buyer. Soon the trained eye will observe some nice buying opportunities.
Electronics gadget nut cases like me, relish the opportunity to get a one up on our fellow buyers. Look carefully at the data presented, after a little practice opportunities will leap out at you. The premise is simple, a buyer with more market information will always pay lower prices than the rest of the market. In stock market terms it caller insider trading, and its illegal. In our case its quite above board and simply assists you in better understanding the supply demand curve for that yummy flat panel TV you had you eye on last Christmas.

Young Entrepreneurs: Leverage Your Small Home Based Business
Being a young entrepreneur, your small business is only as good for all those people who know about it. And for those who don’t know, well they simply don’t care.
After all the hardships you have gone through while starting up your business. After all those attempt to give it all up and return back to more secured corporate living. After all the risks you have to pass through. And now that you have toughed them all, the only aim that you now have is to make your small business grow.
Well, that actually is not as simple as it may sound. Making your small business grow will lead you to more compromises. This entails you to take further risks. It is harder this time of course because you are delving into deeper realms of risk. Sometime, the absence of assurance for success will make it more difficult for you to get on through the next level.
One of the many paths to growth from your youth in entrepreneurship towards maturity is to spread words of your small home based business. You may posses the best of the products in the industry but there would be no sense to them if the only people who know are those that are within your block. Your product may have the potentials of breaching million dollar sales but if no one buys it, there is no sense in dreaming of becoming a tycoon.
Start promoting yourself and your services. Some small home based business young entrepreneurs begin promoting their products even before they were fully launched. However, there are many who do promotions only when they have tapped the estimated potentials of their items. You always have the choice between the two though.
There are two basic techniques that you may use to take your small home based business into the scene. One is through paid advertisement and the other through public relations.
Paid advertisements require the process of negotiating with advertising agencies and stations to have your product promoted. Mediums like televisions, websites, newspapers and radio spots are among the most typical options you have.
In public relations however, you would have to ask an author to have your story and your business venture written on articles or an expert as search reference. The only problem though is that you have to be convincing or your story must have that extra pop so as to be worthy of mention.
While publicity may oftentimes require you to share the toll of finding a writer to work for your home based business, there is still no way for you to disregard the benefits of having your story advertised. It also has cost effective feature since you seldom pay for such an advertising medium. But the better part goes with the truth that you can be better remembered with an article rather than in a TV commercial. People normally have more trust on a write-up rather than paid advertisement showed in TV or in the internet. Publicity also offers the potentials of reaching through various people and if you have that good streak of luck, the national audience may be reached by your story.
Even the online world recognizes that actual power of television advertisements than using links and postings on message boards. There are many times when the website has become successful because it was featured on a television show. Thus, discarding all the “almost useful” power of drawing people through creating juggling lines of links in the web.
The media works on herd mentality. Once a program caught site of what your home based business has to offer, other programs may have the hitch of spreading the word further. Thus, you can expect other shows to modify your own story to supplement for their own. This is very effective indeed since you will have your advertisement without spending a dime while reaching wide spectrum of audience.
The problem though comes with attracting journalist and writers towards your home based small business story. Plan your target points. Your aim is to court writers towards writing your tale. Never put them off by sending bulks of email to virtually all journalists that you know. Point only towards those who are in the beat with your story. Identify what publications will find your venture useful and know which kind will use your story. Try making a list of newspapers, radio programs and television spots that will work well with your aim. If you truly want publicity, go direct with personal emails or letters to those who are most likely to find your small home based business story interesting.

How To: Build Backlinks to Your Website and Increase Ranking | Totally How To
How To: Build Backlinks to Your Website
If you have a website, or are contemplating one, you will certainly be concerned about SEO (search engine optimization). Historically, web programmers and content writers have used clever and some ill-advised methods for optimizing their site with the search engines. Strategically placed keywords and metatags were some of the basic techniques. Others embedded a keyword hundreds of times within the pages HTML. Search engines caught on to this and soon marked and even de-registered sites using this unacceptable practice. Still, the need to drive traffic to a web site led to other developments, one of which is the web directory.
There are literally thousands of directories, ranging from specific topics to broad coverage of a top 10 or 20, to some sites that are so comprehensive they have over 1000 categories and subcategories. One such comprehensive site is www.sourcedirectory.info. Is there an advantage to a comprehensive site? Won’t people get lost going through all the different categories? Here’s why we think SourceDirectory.info is a great choice for listing your website and why we chose the comprehensive versus narrow listing approach. The internet has made us a group of information junkies. We now realize we can have more information than we could ever possibly read, yet we like the choice of seeing it and choosing what we will use. Many people conducting searches may not be very adept at how to do it efficiently so that their true area of interest comes on the first page or two.
As a website manager, you also want top billing in front of your potential visitor. Search engines pull sometimes millions of hits and the searcher soon is overwhelmed and tired of the list. If you aren’t on the first 2 pages, the search engine may not be doing you much good anyway. With a listing on a directory, such as Source Directory, you can be in a smaller list in your specific category or categories. The searcher will have a much better chance of finding you, both because the categories on Source Directory will make it easy and because you won’t be one of many listings for your category.
Does a directory listing affect your search engine position? Yes, it does. For one, you now have another location in which you can be picked up by the search engine, and it recognizes your frequency. So not only does the directory listing Source Directory directly increase your chances of web traffic, it can enhance your position with the search engines.
If you’re going to launch a website, do it right. Visit Source Directory now and get yourself listed in the appropriate category/categories that will bring new traffic to your site. It’s part of successful web marketing strategy.
